Hello

Hello All,

Iv'e setup my roadbikes to suit myself for years now but a recent tracknight showed up some problems with my forks. I found this site whilst searching for information about re-shimming forks. Iv'e been reading lots here for a few days now. There appear to be experts in suspension in residence - occasionally, i'm way out of my depth, but this has never put me off before, and i am learning lots. Could take a while for me to absorb some of the information though.

My bikes a VFR750 which has been modified, the front end comprises of firestorm sliders and brake callipers, VFR fork tubes and CBR600F2 damper rods, springs by Ohlins. As of today its running my own shimstack setup. Unfortunately there is only a cheap aftermarket shock on the back with a stock spring rate, this will be resprung with a 900lb spring tomorrow, still better than the standard unit it replaced though.

I hope to continue my education regarding vavling and shimming, thanks guys for a uniquely focussed forum.
