Hello from Texas

I am a suspension dabbler, mostly with Suzuki KYB forks on TL1000's. I dabble in shocks and Valkyrie suspension for my buddies. I hope to learn a lot from you guys.

Here is my TL fork page, I made to help guys with TL fork maintenance, if you have any comments or improvements, let me know, or if I am putting out bad information.

Fork assembly/disassembly page

I also recently installed GP Suspension valving and springs in my personal TLS forks and I am very pleased, especially with the new needles and the rebound valving. Really cleaned it up. Looks like it was a Showa style piston I added and some nice valving. Plus since I like wheelies, I drilled a bleed in the bottoming cone rather than totally remove the piston.

here are my GP Suspension pictures

I have a Penske double clicker on my daughter's SV, an Ohlins on my TLS and WP on my KTM SMR, hopefully I will learn all about that stuff here. I followed a link from Doug on TLZone.net. Good guy.

Thanks for the site!

Welcome aboard Doug, and nice pages by the way.

Did you leave the taper alone on the comp needles?

I deal GP Suspension here in Australia, and we have been having good results too with Dave's stuff...

I suppose now all you need to do is work out how it is all working together!

I installed them directly without modification. In the past I had only used Racetech stuff, then I used Traxxion for my TLR forks, and I was a little happier, but I wasn't satisfied with that since there was no rebound stuff at that time. The GP Suspension stuff is great, and Dave really was patient with me as I asked a bunch of dumb questions. I have a buddy in Chicago who needs his done this winter and I told him I would install the GP stuff for him.

Looking forward to learning a lot here. Thanks for the welcome
