Excursis on the Conciliabulum

Hi! I found this forum on a whim, looking up damping curves. I recognized Cpt. Verdone from reading about his skateboard trucks, oh small world of the internet! I was instantly flabbergasted that no one had posted a how-to on installing their tinted windscreen. Where's the survey of which fender eliminator kit he should buy? No one posted sound clips of their micron hi-pipe? You guys are sick, and not in the fresh urban vernacular sort of way.

I have an 03 600rr one-time track bike turned street again, never to reclaim much of the hardware. No license plate (for the last.. year?), and the headlights are two autozone projector foglights screwed to the composite fairing. What bodywork it has is flat black-- it could safely be called a rat bike. What's a young person to do? No matter: ohlins fork springs (going softer when I have a little $$), scotts damper, braided lines, 636 master, potless rear res. (a la HRC), PP tuning rearsets, 49 state header, leo vinci ti noisy noise pipe, -1 +2 front/rear sprockets respectively, PCIII USB, dynoed 109 hp last year

I'm in SoCal. I live near telegraph (the 94), so I ride that, sunrise highway, and palomar when I have gas $. If I'm in LA, we ride angeles crest and the mulholland canyon areas. wee! Once or twice a year, a group of my friends and relatives ride to death valley from torrance on the most circuitous route possible, about 1300 miles in 4 or 5 days. Last time I was on an F3 though (read: sofa), I think this one will kill me.

Yes, it's nice not having to sort through that crap on this site.

My latest least favorite topic is "How do I get rid of the chicken strips on the rear tire?"

I'd recommend a 120mm flapper wheel on an angle grinder

Actually I just fitted my old race tyres to the SV, instant cred. But then I rode through some mud and now everyone can see I have chicken strips. Oh, the shame
