Assuming this is the new members forum, I'd like to say hello. Name's Bob from LongBeach, California and I ride a 98 Honda VFR800. I've been doing some upgrading on the suspension. New Elka rear shock and Race tech springs. I'm interested in having the best handling bike more than the most powerful motor.

I've got friends who race and have lots of varying oppinions about suspension set ups and hardware so I am looking for enlightenment. Since I've got three kids in private shool whom I would like to send to college one day, I cannot spend all my money on the best stuff. I'm looking for less conventional ways,(read less expensive)to get a good sport ride out of the viffer and not get spanked on freeway expansion joint on the way to and from work.

Currently I'm commuting more than carving the local out back and the reflective warning bumps on the freeway are beating me up as I split lanes through rush hour traffic.

Mostly just wanted to say hello. I'll take a look through you forums for a while before I make a spectacle of myself again.
